ME 36th Anniversary logo1

ME Singapore celebrate its 36th Anniversary this year and the Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on 23rd May 2015 at the St Vincent de Paul Church starting 10 am.

The theme for this 36th Anniversary celebration is ‘Radiate Christ through our Marriage and Holy Orders’.

His Grace Archbishop William Goh has shared the urgency of the New Evangelisation, which is a call to all Catholics to renew their faith and to share the Good News about Jesus Christ with ardour, as visible witnesses of His love, in every sphere of society, working in communion and using approaches that are relevant.

Married couples can live this evangelical mission, by being a visible sign of Christ to others in our love, in our relationship, in our communication , in our prayers and in our journey of faith as a family. Through the sharing of our faith and good works, we offer Jesus as a gift to humanity, so that all can find hope, direction, meaning and purpose in life.

This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the second Vatican council and Pope Francis has designated 2015 as the Year of Consecrated Life which will have an evangelical focus, helping people to realize “the beauty of following Christ” in the various types of religious vocations.

At the ME 36th Anniversary Mass we will pray for God’s grace to help married couples and those call to Holy orders and consecrated life to renew their focus on the evangelical mission which we are all called to.  The Mass will be celebrated by Msgr Ambrose Vaz .  There will be a special blessing for couples who are celebrating their Milestone Marriage this year at the Mass.  Fr Loiseau and Fr Arro, who have been deeply involved with ME Singapore and who will be celebrating their 65th and 60th Sacerdotal Anniversary respectively this year will also be sharing their stories of their journey in Holy orders.

Milestone Marriage Couples and those who intend to participate in this Anniversary Mass Celebration are to register their names to help us facilitate the logistical preparation and arrangement.
